Interior design is the art and science of enhancing the interior of a building to achieve a healthier and more aesthetically pleasing environment for the people using the space. It involves the creation of functional spaces that are both visually appealing and meet the needs of the people who will use them.

EXTERIORS

Exterior home construction refers to the process of building or renovating the exterior of a house or building. This can include a variety of tasks, such as building new structures, repairing or replacing existing structures, installing walkways, patios, decks and other hardscape elements, and updating the siding, roofing, and other elements of a building's exterior.

OUR PROCESS

The construction & design process(es) typically include the following steps:

CONSULTATION

We meet with the client to discuss their goals, desired outcomes, and budget. We create a detailed quote for the client to review and approve if we both decide we're a good fit for each other.

DESIGN DEVELOPMENT

We co-create a design concept and/or floor plan that maximizes function and aesthetics after we've analyzed the existing space and determined the best use. We will select conceptual materials and finishes, and create a high-level project plan for the client to review and approve.

CONSTRUCTION DRAWINGS

We develop detailed construction drawings, including floor plans, elevations, and electrical plans, as needed for permitting and construction.

PERMITTING

We submit construction drawings to the appropriate authorities for review to obtain necessary permits.

CONSTRUCTION

We coordinate, execute and oversee the construction process, including scheduling, budgeting, and quality control. Construction usually involves:

demolition - the removal of elements such as cabinets, countertops, appliances, etc.
framing and rough-in - framing the new layout of the home, installing new electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems, if required
installation - installing new cabinets, countertops, doors, flooring, lighting, appliances, etc., and
finish work - installing backsplash, trim, and other finishing touches

INSTALLATION

We install furniture, fixtures, and equipment, as well as decorating and styling the space.

FINAL WALK-THROUGH

We conduct a final inspection with the client to ensure that all work is completed to their satisfaction.

MAINTENANCE & WARRANTY

We provide any necessary post-construction maintenance.

It's important to note that any home construction can be a big project and can take several weeks or even months to complete, depending on the scope of the work and the complexity of the project.
